Mary Jo Pearcy

Mary Jo Pearcy, Office Manager

Mary Jo began her career in health care, working as a Physical Therapy technician for a group of Orthopedic surgeons in Houston, Texas. For the next 10 years, she remained there, working summers while attending Texas A&M University and then full time as their office manager. After marrying her husband, an executive in the Energy industry, she and her family lived in various locations, including Corpus Christi, TX, New Orleans, LA, Houston, TX, and 17 years in Oklahoma City, OK. During those years, Mary Jo was primarily a stay-at-home mom raising their three daughters. She had some interesting jobs and volunteer positions, including PE teacher at her girls’ school, managing a kitchen in a tearoom, her own catering business, President of the PTA, and many ministries within her church.
In 2011 her husband was transferred to Denver. After their youngest daughter went back to Oklahoma to attend the University of Oklahoma, Mary Jo returned to school where she earned an AAS in Health Information Technology. After graduating, she did an Internship with Banner Health in coding and worked for Ciox doing health insurance audits.
Mary Jo started with Wellness Psychiatry as the part-time administrative assistant in March of 2020. She enjoys working with strong, smart, and compassionate women in a field that provides a much-needed service in our society. Also, helping to build the BioTe practice, learning about mental health and the medications and modalities that help people feel better, and interacting with patients doing ADHD testing and assisting in the BioTe procedures. Her greatest professional satisfaction is when a patient calls’ feeling frightened and overwhelmed, getting them scheduled with one of the providers, and learning the positive impact our interactions have had on their lives just a few weeks later!
Mary Jo feels it is an honor and a pleasure to now be the full-time office manager for Wellness Psychiatry, utilizing her many years of business experience and exercising her heart of service.
When Mary Jo is not keeping Wellness Psychiatry running efficiently, she enjoys golfing with her husband of 36 years, spending time, and traveling with her three grown daughters, cooking especially ethnic dishes, reading, and yoga.
