Heather is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in nursing and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado where she trained across diverse clinical settings. Her background as a registered nurse includes emergency medicine, community mental health, case management, and cardiology. These are experiences allow her to approach mental health care with a holistic and medically informed perspective.
Heather values building genuine rapport with patients and strives to create a therapeutic space that feels approachable, empathetic, and empowering. Heather is deeply committed to advocacy and curiosity, integrating evidence-based medication management with lifestyle-informed approaches such as nutrition, movement, sleep, and overall wellness. She strongly believes patients know themselves best and treatment planning involves shared decision making and collaboration.
Outside of clinical practice, Heather values time with family and her dogs and cat. She enjoys triathlon training, skiing, and mountain biking, along with many other outdoor pursuits. She understands balance and connection are essential components of mental health and well-being.
