We offer objective ADHD testing, using an FDA-cleared computer test called QbCheck. This test assesses for inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity. The computer test is 15-20 minutes and the results are available immediately for review once completing the test. If needed, medication options are discussed and started.
Wellness Psychiatry offers personalized medicine through Genomind's genetic testing. The Genecept Assay looks at an individual's genotype in order to allow the provider to select medication specific to the patient. This test is very helpful for those who have struggled to find therapeutic relief with medications or have suffered from side effects from medications. It is also a good tool for a patient who has never tried medication, in hopes of finding the best medication the first time. For more information on Genomind please look at their website or call the office.
BioTE is a form of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy using pellet therapy. The bioidentical hormones used are chemically identical to the hormones your own body produces. Patients receive two to four pellet insertions each year to maintain hormone levels. Bioidentical hormones tend to be better tolerated, with few adverse reactions, compared to synthetic hormones. BioTE pellets help relieve the symptoms of hormonal imbalances in about 3 weeks, with full efficacy over the following months.
